Serge Valentin tasted twelve Macduff bottlings on Whiskyfun, among them the Scyfion Choice Macduff 2007/2019, finished in an Apatsagi Pinot Noir cask and bottled at 46%. He gave it 85 points.
This is a new review of an older release. He found clear red wine and berry notes, yet felt the malt kept its footing, and called the result unusual and successful.
WhiskyExperts in Germany and the Belgian blog The Clan Maccurve later summarised the same tasting.
